My life is all about maximizing the life experience value of the small stash of dollars that I have, no matter where I am in the world. Once you are in a positive state of mind, you maximize your social desirability and openness to life experiences no matter where you are in the world. Occasional large expenses like plane tickets and purchase of a camper van may be necessary; it's good to have a $10,000 cash reserve underneath your travel fund at all times, but this belief that you need to have vast quantities of money at your disposal in order to enjoy life is bullshit. Figuring out how to enjoy life and get over your internal misery, that's your personal challenge.
